Maybe ... not sure ..
Davinci Resolve => preferences => media storage

What is the configuration?

Daniel, did you buy Studio via the Mac App Store? If so, it uses the Movies folder as the default location for the scratch disk. The App Store version does not automatically show external drives.

From the manual:
"If you’re using the Apple App Store version of DaVinci Resolve, auto-mounting of attached storage volumes is not enabled automatically. However, you can enable this in the Media Storage panel of the System Preferences. For more information, see the DaVinci Resolve Preferences section of Chapter 3, “System and User Preferences.”

"If you’re using the Apple App store version of DaVinci Resolve, turning on “Automatically display attached local and network storage locations” [in the preferences] automatically prompts you via a dialog to add “Macintosh HD” as a storage location. Clicking Add Location prompts you to select the Macintosh HD volume with another dialog, and clicking Open then adds that volume to the Media Storage Volumes list. After you click Save to close the Preference windows, Resolve should now auto-mount any volumes attached to your computer in the Media Storage browser of the Media page. Don’t do this until after you’ve added a fast storage volume to the Media Storage Locations list, because you don’t want Macintosh HD as the first volume in this list – the very first volume in this list should always be reserved for your fast scratch volume."
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

I have try but it seem in App Store Version the Davinci Resolve Studio folder is re-create each time you open a previous project in Davinci Resolve Studio even if this folder is empty so for now i have to delete-it after each launch it may be not the best way but what can i do it is so frustrating but must reply about-it i just want to avoid Davinci Resolve Studio to create any huge medai file on my mac SSD boot drive movies folder it may seem silly but who want to fill is SSD BOOT DRIVE with media files when you have RAID !
