Output with huge black frame

I'm trying to convert 4.6 raw footage from Ursa Mini Pro to prores. In the edit or colo mode, everything is fine. In the delivery tab, it also looks good. But when I render, I get this huge black frame around the image. See attachment. I tried to create new timelines from selected clips, I tried at different output resolutions. Nothing works. I selected render at source resolution. Nothing. Any ideas?

Robert, as a start, please provide screenshots of your Resolve Deliver / File and Deliver / Video panels including that bar at the top where you select Custom / ProRes / H.264 / H.265 / YouTube / Vimeo etc.

Hi Nick,
Here you go. This is on Resolve 14. 15 doesn't work on my machine (as you saw on my previous post).
There are no changes in the advance settings.
EDIT: The outputted QT is 4608x2592.

Are you using the free version of Resolve?

Yes because I sold my Cinema Camera. Waiting of the Pocket 4K. Could that be it?

The free version is limited to an UHD output. So your footage is being fitted in UHD in the center and then padded with black.

All right, that would be it. Thanks.

Just saw this. Glad that was easy to fix. You could define the smaller resolution in the timeline and then the output will look normal.

I guess but I shot in 4.6k in order to be able to crop and resize my footage. I guess I will have to edit in Resolve. The final output will be HD. It would have ended up in Resolve anyways for grading.

Robert, you can still crop and resize and reframe hopefully to your heart’s content with whatever timeline resolution you want, but when you’ve finished all that work in the various pages, then you need to set the project timeline and output resolution correctly. Going to the Studio version though is the better approach in terms of unlimited flexibility.
I know $1,295 seems a lot for an NLE but it does include Fairlight, Fusion, and Colour at no extra charge. And BMD throws in a superb BMPCC4K camera for free!

Hi Rick,
As I wrote previously, I sold my BMCC in order to buy a pocket 4K.

Robert, I know. I should have put an emoticon at the end of my last paragraph. Was just doing an attempted humorous take on the cost of the BMPCC4K with the ‘free’ Resolve Studio.
