How to create a circular progress bar in the edit page ?

This is a bit of a creative question.

I make a lot of videos where I need to overlay some sort of progress indicator, showing how long the video has been playing.

A horizontal progress bar is easy, just put a rectangle on screen and keyframe the x value, at video start x=0, at video end x=1920

But now the client wants a small cirlce in the corner that gradually fills as the video progresses.
Using a circle will probably involve masking, I'm just hoping I can do it directly in the edit page (instead of x I can keyframe the rotation of the mask ?)

Is there an elegant and easy solution in the edit page ?

Use a solid colour generator in Edit page & make into a compound clip. Add a circle mask in the Color page.
Use a clock wipe to wipe between a black colour generator & the circle compound clip. You will need to trim back the clips to allow handles for the transition. If you make it long enough you can render it out and then re-import into Resolve. Use time remapping to set total clip duration to suit your project.

If this is not clear, I can upload a project file.

...and now this question turns into a feature request for Blackmagic :D

If only the clock wipe would have a center offset parameter (x & y) I could put this anywhere on screen.
Moving the attached clips does not move the wipe's center...

As you mentioned, now I need to render it out and re-import.

If the wipes (for other wipes this might also be usefull) had an adjustable center parameter, the wipes would be so much more usefull.

Just an idea for Resolve 15.001 8-)
