Manually enter timecode locations?

PostSun Aug 19, 2018 11:41 am

Hi there,

How do you manually type in a timecode to move to a particular time point in a video?

I have a list of timecodes on a text file that I'm trying to setup markers for on a video to make easier editing later - however in the blue highlighted box I can't seem to manually type in and get Da Vinci to jump to the point in mind, and it is incredibly time consuming to keep dragging the mouse along the bar to the approximate location then moving frame by frame with the key cursor until I reach the point desired. This is further time consuming from what I can see (still a new user so may be mistaken*) if we aren't able to zoom in to make timeline edits easier for original source videos - just timelines - so I am jumping 2 minutes distance per mouse movement, and having to move manually with cursor keys to get to the point. It would be much easier if I could simply type in the timecode and jump to the precise point I want to mark - is there an easier way to go about this?

P.S. I can copy/paste already established timecodes, but this only useful after it has already been setup and does not help with setting up new/initial points.

Select the source or timeline viewer do it’s active, not the timecode display, type in the timecode
