Will Resolve 15 take full advantage of the NVidia RTX 2080Ti, should I just pre-order it now?

Good question. Probably a no-brainer for Windows platform, but for those of us who have been leveraging our trusty old 5,1 MacPro towers with eGPU cages (Cubix/PCIe), this will probably be complicated by Apple's views on new architectures (Turing for the RTX series) and OS drivers. The speed, cores, memory, and 25% power consumption make this very attractive to me to replace my 3x Titan Blacks, for sure.

I know from past experience if you don't get the cards now they will go out of stock and then the prices go up from that $999 price for months.

Came here for the same question. Would Resolve be able to take advantage of the RTX technology or is that only for ray tracing 3D programs/games?

Hi.
It also depend on if you want a nVideas Founders Edition or a AIB partner card with better cooling and overclock. Jensen Huang from nVidea told on the event that they all are overclocable. Here is a list compiled before the event with pictures and rumored prices for many AIB partner cards
Here's a roundup of all NVIDI'A GeForce RTX cards from various AIB partners'
