I've installed Resolve 15 on a new machine with Windows 10 and it worked fine for a few days. But today when starting up, it loads until "loading waveform" and then it just quits loading, no error message, no nothing. It does the same thing every time I try to start. Running as admin or not doesn't work either.

I've re-installed, restarted the computer many times etc. It's like it just decided not to work all of a sudden. I've done nothing to the system in between when it worked and when it didn't.

The longest I got was to a prompt window to send a crash report, but it happened one time and I've tried around dozens of tries.

I'm also getting the same issue with DR15. It'll freeze on the splash screen when it says "loading fairlight page." After re-installing it works fine, but each subsequent launch it will freeze.

It now booted up without a problem. I do not know what causes this, seems pretty random. It's way too unstable for professional work. I can't startup the program fine one day just to have it fail the next, clients are gonna flee.

Even though it works for now, we need to know what causes this to prevent it from happening.

How about details of your system and the type of video files you are trying to edit. You can never give too much information.

in general, resolve seem to require the latest and best hardware to work properly compared to different NLE's.

...aaaaand I'm back to not being able to start Resolve again. At least when there's a problem that's consistent it's easier to figure out what's going on. Now it's just random. There's never a new release of Resolve without a ton of problems. But not being able to even start... that's a game breaker.

How about details of your system and the type of video files you are trying to edit. You can never give too much information.

I have the latest and best hardware since this is a clean install on a new high performance system without any previous databases interfering. It crashes when reaching "load waveform", so either it's that or something else.

There is info here how to grab a diagnostic log, post a link to it so an engineer can review
