Question regarding license

PostMon Aug 27, 2018 4:56 pm

Hi,

New to Resolve; I have a simple dumb question; in order to use Resolve 15 can I purchase a license for 14 ? Will it work ? Finally, what's the difference between having an dongle or just an activation key ? Any recommendation on where to buy it 'online ?

Thanks and sorry for my n00bness here ;)

All dongles work on all versions, Windows or Mac
As a bonus, if you buy a copy of Fusion Studio (same price as DR) the dongle also activates DR studio.
I bought mine from B&H on the net.
$299 for both Fusion studio and DR studio is very good value.
DR 16.2.5.015 Studio, 2012 Mac Pro 5.1, 10.13.6, 2x3.46GHz 6 core Intel, 96 GB ram, GTX 1080Ti 11GB graphics card.
USB3 card, BM SDI 4K card, SSD boot disk, 3x4TB SSDs in raid 0, 12TB HDD backup.
Tangent Elements panel, FSI DM240

Just bought Fusion Studio. Has it been verified that the Fusion 9 Studio dongle will activate Resolve 15 Studio (release)?

Thanks,

M.

Yes, I'm using a Fusion 7 Studio dongle with Resolve 15 Studio (the release version).

Sounds interesting; when you ordered did you get a physical package or just an e-mail with a serial number ?

Thanks you for your answer!
