PNG with red image turns green when moving timeline

PostTue Aug 28, 2018 10:11 am

Hello (o;

For a little UI demo I use a short footage showing a knob being pressed and a PNG is shown with red LEDs.
Added some glow effect in Fusion to the red PNG and masked out the finger with rotoscoping..all fine (except the crappy video quality ;o).

Now when I move the timeline in Edit window the red png turns suddenly green and stays green, rendering is fine.

It only turns red again when I change for example the scaling of the png image or turn on/off lens correction in the properties.

Sorry for the big screenshots (o;

Seems DRS 15 has a general problem with PNG files...

Looks like over saturated in the edit tab/delivery window...but it is fine after rendering....

It's getting worse...seems anything involving PNGs is unpredictable on Davinci Resolve Studio 15.0.0....

Delivery end edit timeline shows the LED glow ring shining through the qualifier mask....the rednered video is fine though...

My observation about delivery with alpha (independent of PNGs):
as soon as you render, the picture doesn't show what you had in Edit, but the rendered file is OK.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Hmm...has this always been the case also in previous versions? No matter what platform?
