Questions from an Avid editor

Hey all,

Forgive me if these questions are answered elsewhere; the massive amount of documentation and differing terminology in some cases has left me with a few (hopefully simple) questions.

1. The default behavior in Resolve is that the number keys are used for jumping to timecodes. In Avid, only the number pad is used for this, and the regular number keys are available for shortcuts. Can this behavior be emulated in Resolve?

2. Is it possible to display the volume/gain on clips in the timeline? If I click on the clip, I can see that I've changed the clip volume to e.g. +3.5 db, but I can't see that without clicking on the clip.

3. Is there a way to "select" clips using the keyboard? Resolve has a "select right" and "select left" feature, but it's missing Avid's "select in to out" button that can be used to select single clips without necessitating a mouse reach.

I know my editing is rooted in Avid idioms so I may well be thinking about some of these things all wrong. In any case, I appreciate your help and patience!

Thanks for the reply, but this doesn't really answer my questions. I know how to remap the keyboard and have done so extensively. For example, regarding question 1, I have even mapped the number keys, but when I try to use those shortcuts, they are overridden by the timecode jumping function I mentioned. The other two questions may well have keyboard mapping solutions, but I can't map them if I don't know what the functions are called.

Edit: Mark Selection is sort of the inverse of what I wanted. But I found "Select Nearest Clip" which is good enough for my purposes.
