Using Resolve 14, I want to import a raw sequence that was split across two cards in the Ursa. On the media page it shows up on my drive as the first half being a video and the second half a video that appears in its folder. On import they both appear as a DNG image sequence just fine, but I swear on previous jobs two halves like this rejoined to one another, rather than being separate videos. Is there a way to automatically rejoin them before syncing them, otherwise it is a manual work around I would rather avoid.
Do they have numbers like: 1,3,5,7,9.....and 2,4,6,8.... If so just copy them into 1 folder and then import. They should made up correct single sequence.
Thomas did you do Dual Card Recording or do you mean age first Card was full and the camera continued the recording on the second card? Either way I don’t recall that being automagically treated as a single clip by Resolve without manual intervention as described above.
The file is spilt across the cards, so not dual recorded. And the numbers in the second folder starts over at 00000. So I can’t just copy them into the first folder.
That’s correct. And with the suffix on the extended clip name, you have to be careful to bring the original clip to the Timeline first since the extended clip sorts in front of the original clip.
