Charlie Mawer
Hi there, I had Resolve 14.3 working fine on my system until just yesterday. When I try to launch, I get nothing. I can see the process in the task manager eating about 143mb of RAM, but nothing else. If I manage to boot into safe mode I get the intro splash screen to come up, but it freezes on "loading Fairlight page".
As a side note, I tried installing Resolve 15 on my ubuntu laptop, but it wouldn't launch on there either!
Things I've tried:
Removing and reinstalling (both 14.3 and 15)
Redownloading a fresh copy of the installer and reinstalling
Deleting the Blackmagic design folder in my Program Data folder
Installing to the C: drive (I had it on my E: drive before)
Updating my GPU drivers
Rolling back my GPU drivers
Rolling back my GPU drivers even further
Booting in safe mode
Disabling my VPN
Uninstalling and Reinstalling the 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables
My system specs:
Windows 10 Pro 1803
i7 6700k
16GB RAM @ 2400mhz
GTX 1080ti
C: drive is a SATA SSD, E: drive is a 7200rpm HDD
