Using Fusion for simple drop shadow on .png issues

Hi,

firstly I could be going about this all wrong,
but I thought I found a simple way to add a shadow or glow to a .png. but it only works partially.
I open the png in fusion and add drop shadow,

then return to edit page and it's there but if I then want to move the logo to another section of the screen it gets cutoff.

Is there anyway when opening in Fusion that it opens as full resolution of the footage not the .png?

Add a resize node after your mediaIn and put your png combination at the same resolution as your clip underneath (maybe Fusion will do it alone depending on the preferences)

Use the sizing controls in the Colour Page. The Edit Page is before the Fusion Page so all Edit Page adjustments affect the input to the Fusion Page. The Colour Page is after the Fusion Page. The different pages represent the signal flow from left to right.

If you want to move your PNG with the Resolve Transform Tools instead of Fusion's you need to do the following.

MEDIAIN ---> CROP ---> Shadow ---> MEDIAOUT

Contrary to what the word "crop" might suggest, it is a more versatile tool than you think.

Click the option "Keep Centered" and change the X size and Y size to your Timeline's resolution or to your background footage's resolution.
