Intro / Outro

Hello All,

I have created an intro and outro to use for all of my family videos. Basically what I do is open the intro and do a save as and continue to add media, the problem lies when I try to add the outro I get the following error message....

ERROR: Current project frame rate does not match that of copied items from the timeline.

However this also happens if I do the reverse... (add the outro first and try to add the intro last but at the beginning for the video).

What do I need to do to fix this issue and what am I following "best practices"?

Thanks in advance.

-James

What are the frame rates of these?
Anyway, Resolve will use the files nevertheless, but it'll try to adapt them to the current frame rate of your timeline, and that may look less than perfect (motion artifacts).

Check the timeline frame rates in both of your projects. Are they identical?
If not, post them and I can suggest a solution.

OK. Decide what you want in the future for your videos.
Go the the project that doesn't fit and export the intro or outro in a high quality format like DNxHR (PC) or ProRes 422 HQ (Mac).
Make a project with the correct format and drop your clip into it.

Thanks for the help!

How do I set this in the beginning of the editing process?

In the project settings or by dragging a clip with the desired frame rate into the project, it'll ask you to change to that rate if it's different.
