Video display in fusion tab looks like Predator vision

PostThu Sep 06, 2018 9:05 pm

I reported this in the Resolve 15 Beta forum 2x. Can't find the posts but I did report it as a bug 2X. It is still happening in final versions. On Resolve 15.0.1. Mac Pro late 2013, dual D700's, 128 gigs of ram, 12 coreOS High Sierra. I have it hooked up to an Ultra Studio 4K Extreme Thunderbolt 2 to a LG27UK650 4K HDR Slim 27" UHD that has HDR-10, but it happens with any UHD monitor I plug in. The video monitor hooked up to the Ultra Studio 4k Extreme shows video fine in all the other tabs (Media Pool, Edit, Color, Fairlight and Delivery). See picture

However in Fusion tab I get 60 psychedelic predator vision on any node, even just when I have not done anything in Fusion yet except make a new Fusion flip in the edit tab. Sometimes it changes colors with the same project and same fusion clip. Today it is purple blue and green. two days ago it was Red, orange and pink. It is not a monitor issue and I am sure it is not an Ultra Studio 4K extreme issue. This is just with two videos in the fusion tab with nothing done to them except a merge node.

It does not effect the Display viewer at all in Fusion as you can see here it is just fine

It also shows up in the Ultra Studio 4K display monitor as predator vision as well while in the fusion tab only. See picture below

I can switch back to any other tab and the video on the video monitor is just fine. Only in Fusion. I am not sure if this is necessary but here are the color management and RAW Settings. Black Magic Production 4K camera RAW footage

I don't have any LUT's in the 3D LUT for the either the 1D or 3D video monitor but I spent a half an hour switching that to every LUT in the list and still the same thing. I have played with every setting. Everything. Nothing does anything. I have even switched multiple thunderbolt 2 cables, multiple HDMI 2.0 cables, and multiple Thunderbolt 2 ports on the Mac Trash Can. Nothing changes. Also switched from metal, open CL and the other option and again still does it.
