Hi,
I have no luck tryng to bring sound to protools. All the sound editors i send aaf are not able to open in any prootools. It's a desperate situation since i have to send three movies I edited to sound department.
Any suggestion or help it's very welcome and needed.
thank you very much.

Are you using the Pro Tools export option or the export to AVID?

Is this in Resolve 15.0? Which specific version of Pro Tools?

There might be a chance that there is an effect in the timeline that it is not supported by the AAF/ XML export. It might help to double check the timeline to confirm or not if this is the root of the issue.

Also, from the Manual, Resolve 15: "If you made editing changes to the Timeline you imported, or you’re exporting a project that wasn’t AAF to begin with: Then you need to right-click the Timeline you want to export in the Media Pool and choose Timelines > Export > Generate New AAF. This option creates a brand new AAF file, but audio and effects that are not supported in DaVinci Resolve in an AAF import are discarded."

Thanks for the responces.
I use 15.0.1 and tried to open aaf in protools 10 and 12.
I Will try to check any Kind of fx on the timeline but i think i have Just few cross dissolves on titles.
For the moment i found the best solution to bring audio in protools is to export xml and open It in Premiere and the do the aaf or omf for protools from Premiere.
Anyway i Hope to find a solution to go to protools directly from davinci soon.
It would bè nice also to send an aaf with audio metadata as my sound editor would Need.
Hope to hear about lucky experiences about aaf from resolve to protools. To me each time i try it's very tricky to succed and i have always have to use some Kind of round trip, wich is very painfull at the end of the editing when you Need to run..

It seems to be that you are not along. The same issue appeared in the link below in another forum back in January 2018. The conclusion was to export from Premier instead.

Meanwhile, here is a workaround by Randy Larcombe at:
https://forums.creativecow.net/docs/for ... 12&pview=t

"Thanks Ray for doing all that work. At least I know now it's not just me. I have found a work around until the issue is fixed by using Final Cut Pro X. Resolve does talk very nicely with FCPX so if I export an XML for FCPX, import that XML into FCPX I can then export another XML and import that into an application I use to hand off the AAF to my sound guy called X2Pro Audio Convert. https://x2pro.net With that application you can add handles as long as you want. I've just done a test just now with 20 second handles and he said it opened perfectly. It's not perfect but it does work and it's not nearly as complicated as it sounds."
