Is it a good idea to buy a Tangent Ripple?
And how to connect it?

The Tangent Ripple is an excellent "affordable" control surface, and basically you just connect it via USB to your computer, then choose "Tangent Element" in the user prefs of Resolve and relaunch the program. Once you do that, you'll have access to the normal lift/gamma/gain trackballs and rings for adjustment. For students or those who have to work in small places, it's a fantastic tool for the money.

It's fair to say it's a completely different experience color-correcting on a control surface compared to painstakingly trying to use a mouse. For one thing, we often turn two knobs at the same time (say, Lift and Gain or Mids and Lift), just to work quickly, which you can't do with the mouse.
