Does Resolve update imported images dynamically?

Hi all,

I have a project with numerous still images that I dropped in for a rough draft. Now that is has been approved, I need to color correct the stills in Lightroom. Once the new files are saved, is there a way to get Resolve to recognize the updated file?

Unless you have optimized the source clips, any external change will be dynamically reflected on your clips in the bin or in the timeline. The only exception is the clip that the playhead is currently parked on. But it will update too once you move the playhead and come back to the clip.

Disable caching too, or delete your caches once you are done fixing the images.

Thank you for the tips. Once I deleted the caches everything updated.

This has stopped working now. I am not able to optimize source clips as it crashes Resolve anytime I attempt to do that.

I have selected > Playback > Delete Render Cache > All

However I am unable to get still images to updated on the Media page, in the Bins or in the Timeline.

Currently, to get a still image to update I have to delete it from the timeline, then delete from the bin, then the Media page, quit Resolve, relaunch and add the image back step by step.

I'm so accustomed to Adobe software that I even tried re-linking the image to the new version, but the "old" image remains. Somehow there is a cache of some kind that I'm not finding that needs to be deleted.

There must be something else I'm doing wrong. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
