How to order "medias" ?

There are pictures, "movies" and so on.
I want to order:
1. like kind
2. like "date" (eg. some photo-booth-files; -date-order could be (the "date", but then also hours and minutes...) In fact its an order like alphabet, thats what i´m looking for: Just 2 order-hierachys!
Fisrt = kind; Second = alphabet.
Anyway to "set" this?
(sry, i´m absolutely new, so please explain for a newbie!, Thank you!).
