first, on old versions of final cut i used to use a tool called 'distort' which would simply let me grab the corners of a clip and drag them to coordinates in a frame. made things very easy for fitting a screen behind a presenter and such. the pitch/yaw/transform tools seem very clunky to me for this kind of thing. is the something analogous to this simple dragging of the image corners in dr?
second, in looking for solutions for this i just installed fusion (this is all running on a linux system, btw). i was under the impression that something might show up in resolve's 'fusion' menu after i did the install but nothing did. what do i have to do to integrate the two, dr and fusion? or is that studio only? i'm still testing how this all works by using the free versions.
thanks for the replies. i think the warper might be for studio only. will have to check that. as for the corner pinning in fusion, i guess i need to wait for a reply to the second issue so i can get fusion integrated with dr.
thanks, igor. yes v15.0.0B.037 is installed. dr has been installed for some time and, seemingly, working fine. then i installed fusion. i'm thinking that this may be more of a linux issue as i'm running on a linux distribution. i think i should maybe take this second of my questions to the linux install thread. might be more appropriate.
If you installed v15, you have Fusion inside Resolve already, nothing to install or integrate separately. Click on Fusion tab (between Edit and Color) and fire away.
