Color picker tool non-responsive . . .

So another issue has cropped up, or rather has reared it's head in a worse way.

As of a couple 15xx betas ago, the color picker tool suddenly becomes non-resposive and the only way to bring it back has been to close Resolve and reopen it. It had been fairly rare but now it happens more frequently. Driving me nuts to say the least.

So maybe while they're in there fixing the freeze at boot up issue, maybe they can fix this too.

Love the coding wizards at BM, but sometimes . . . Oy....

What hardware (CPU, GPU, disk i/o) and what OS are you using?

I have not encountered this specific problem, but I have seen cases where the cursor gets "stuck" in the wrong mode, like it stays looking like a wrench (Power Window tool) when you're in a Color Picker mode or something like that. Usually, just going back to the Media Page and then switching back to the Color Page refreshes the screen and it comes back. Worst case, I do a GUI reset from the Workspace menu, reload my specific screen setup, and it's fine. It's intermittent and only happens maybe 2-3 times a week for me.

Hi Marc....

Yes, it behaves like that, but I've never experienced this until the 15xx versions.

Here's my system specs:

MSI X79A-GD65 (8D) LGA 2011 Intel X79 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 6 Core/12 Thread Desktop Processor

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Kit

XFX ProSeries P1-1250-BEFX 1250W PSU

Current video cards – Nvidia GTX 1070 x2 each running in full x16, PCIe 3.0

Drives:
SSD – OS & Programs – 250gb
SSD - Cache – 2 x 120GB in raid 0 (total 240GB)
SSD – Media Drive – (for reading from only) External 8 Disk Hardware Raid 0, currently 4TB, expandable to 8TB . . . average read/write of 2.5GB per second

Hard Disks:
2 x 1TB idle storage
Render Drive: External USB 3 . . . (an on-the-fly unit which means I can simply drop any hard drive up to 6TB into the slot, SSD or hard disk)
