Really stoked that this got addressed. This is a game changer for me, with 20 tracks of audio being a very light timeline for me doing sound design.
Now that we have smaller track heights, some thoughts --
It would be really great if we still had the option to see the waveforms even in the smallest view. There is still plenty of room to be able to do so, as you can see here.
There is all that green space that could be used to see the waveform. And this can be toggled on and off for those that don't want to see it.
Currently, the tracks have to be enlarged this big before they are revealed, which is still makes the timeline cumbersome when really all I want to see is some indication of where my audio is.
And to further make this helpful, especially for the more audio inclined editors out there, it's really paramount to be able to zoom the Waveform Larger and Smaller without affecting the track heights. This is something that is common to all audio editing software, Pro Tools etc... and the more people doing audio in Resolve the more this is going to be asked for.
And lastly, I would really like to be able to create a track height preset that I can toggle with a shortcut key, so I can bounce back and forth between and minimized view and an expanded view for audio work with a single keystroke. I know that you can SORT OF do this by creating a Workspace, and then creating another Workspace with expanded tracks and toggling that with a key, but in practice this is not what I'm looking for because I only want to be able to zoom my tracks with the command, I don't want anything else in the UI changing. If my Media Pool is exposed, I want it to stay exposed. If it's hidden, I want it to stay hidden, or my Inspector, or whatever else, etc...
Really great update guys! Keep it coming!! Loving to see it evolve.
