Using Resolve Studio 15.1.0.023 on Windows 10 build 17758:

1. Created timeline with two 8k clips copied from another timeline
2. On the Color tab, disabled a portion of the grade on each of the clips (same nodes on both clips)
3. On the Edit tab create a Compound clip comprising the two clips
4. Go to Color tab
5. Hover mouse over one of the existing stills in the gallery

Result: Resolve crashes instantly with no error message or save
Expect: be able to apply a grade to the compound clip and then edit it, or at least not crash

Please download and install Resolve 15.1 Studio again.

You are using build 023, which had some issues. Not sure it's causing YOUR issue, but getting build 025 installed is the first place to start.

If the problem persists with build 025, please send another log from that.

Also, if it crashes on build 25, could you send us a small project and the still which crashed Resolve?

It also crashes hovering over a still in .025 (same situation: there is a compound clip on the timeline when I do this on the color tab)

I tried to export the project then reimport it to trim it down and create a smaller sample project with just this bug, but nothing shows up at all when I reimport it. If my project is corrupted somehow can you help to recover it? I'd rather not post it here but can send it to you

UPDATE: I was able to reimport the project (didn't show up until I quit then restarted Resolve). I can't hover over the crashing still to send it to you (because it crashes) but I did notice it only crashes when I hover over stills with my more complex grade i.e. including resizing nodes that feed into a parallel node, and key with alpha (doesn't crash over simpler stills).

Not sure if it has to do with the compound clip or the grade complexity or the timeline resolution but fwiw I am also getting corrupted renders from this project (e.g. at random places in the render the tilt position changes, a red line appears in the bottom of the screen, one of the nodes get ignored or the alpha key drops out / goes to all white). UPDATE: I am hypothesizing that the other issues could stem from cache corruption when Resolve crashed, as I tried deleting the cache and rebuilding that grade and so far am no longer seeing those random issues. I'll PM the DRP to you to help repro the crash. thanks

Can you send us a project .drp that exhibits the issue? Even the current project you are having the issue with, if it's not possible to make a small sample project exhibit the issue.

And tell us what still to hover over to cause the crash.
