powergrade bug v15

PostSun Sep 23, 2018 11:56 am

There seems to be a Powergrade bug in the lastest resolve Version (15.0.0.0086).

I'm using a WIN 10 system and a SQL database.

When you drag a still saved in the powergrade bin onto a node in the node tree, initially nothing is wrong. But when you try to make changes to that node it will not update the UI allthough to monitor shows the effect of the changes. What is really weird as that after you changed something, the saved still in the powergrade bin is also changed! And if you apply it does reflect the changes in the UI.

A practical example:
I have a shot on the timeline that was shot with the Alexa Mini. I have saved a node with a Resolve Color Transform OFX with the correct transform to take this shot from Alexa Log C to Rec709. I drag this onto the node in the node viewer and it applies the OFX. Now, if I want to change to OFX parameters, let's say I want to change the gamma from 2,2 to 2,4 for example, it won't let me change it in UI although I do see the change in the image on screen. Furthermore, the gamma value 2,4 is now saved in the powergrade still, like if they are linked somehow.

I hope BMD can look into this. It seems quite a serious bug.

Hello Pepijn,

I tried with the latest version Davinci Resolve V15.1.0.25 and I failed to replicate your issue.

Maybe try the latest version?

Hi Jean Claude,

You are absolutely right! I somehow forgot about that update and thought I was on the latest version. And yes the problem doesn't occur anymore in v15.1.

Thanks!
