XAVC-S not loading on Linux

Hello,

I'm a new comer to Davinci Resolve, and it seems like I can't get Resolve to recognize my XAVC-S videos, it only loads the audio of them.

I'm on Ubuntu Linux with a GTX 1080 Ti, and a Threadripper 1950x, and 32GB of G.Skill RAMs.

I've read, it might be my AMD CPU, but not sure how to resolve it hoping I won't need to re-encode and degrade the quality, as the videos load just fine on NukeX and LightWorks Pro, even on Kdenlive, Cinelerra, and Blender.

Am I missing something here?

Can you share a clip here?

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for your will to help, very much appreciated.

Here's a sample, it took me quite some time to find a small file, as all others are around 5-16GB; this was my initial build.

You need the Studio version of Resolve to decode this file.

Thanks for the confirmation I was leaning towards.

I'm transcoding my files and trying to get a hold of Resolve before I plunge fully into it, and I can't get anything to work, I can add whatever Nodes to the video, whether color correction, titles, or whatever but once I click on Playback, it crashes or freezes and stays that way, and all I can see in the terminal a Segmentation Fault.

I'm on Ubuntu 18.10, GTX 1080Ti, Ryzen Threadripper 1950x, 32GB DDR4 G.Skill Ripjaws.

One last question, I'm waiting for the BMPCC4K to reach the market, which comes included with the Studio version, so if I get the Studio version now, can I get a discount for its price once the camera is released?
