Hi folks,
This is likely me not understanding something.
I have an old Canon FullHD camcorder connected via HDMI to an Intensity Shuttle. I can easily see the camera and record from it to disk using Media Express. I can then take those clips and put them into Resolve.
I thought (think) that I can capture to disk directly in Resolve Studio. I have my Capture settings pointing at the Intensity Shuttle, which Resolve recognizes. If I press Capture Now, I don't see anything happening and when I press stop, a clip goes into the Media section but it says that the clip cannot be found.
The camera menu says it is outputting 1920x1080i out the HDMI port. Media Express cannot see anything unless I tell it to look for 1080i59.94 I have looked at the Resolve documentation and I cannot figure out how to display the feed from the Intensity or how to record from it.
Can Resolve capture directly from an HDMI device? What settings do I make and where to enable this?
Sorry if I sound like a dummy, but I must be missing something here.
Thank you kindly.
Ross
