V strange bug for problem solvers

PostThu Sep 27, 2018 2:47 pm

Finished edit in Premiere, rendered out Cineform ungraded master file to send to colourist (29.97fps)

He does grade in Resolve Studio 15.1 and renders out DNxHD145 graded master. Some of the shots are no longer exactly as the offline edit was. Specific shots, which are the interview shots (B roll is fine), that are all in one post-clip group are being mucked around, as if they have been told to be 24fps, i.e. there are repeated frames every so often, at one point 3 frames in a row are identical. The group has nodes with Film Convert and Neat Video which could be contributing.

Got colourist to export his Resolve project. I open it up and re-link ungraded master file. I also have FIlm Convert and Neat Video OFX versions. The problem does not show up for me, either in stepping through the timeline or after rendering it out. The project settings are all correct.

A difficult one no?
