Normalize the left and right audio channels in 1 clip?

PostSat Sep 29, 2018 10:32 pm

I am using an earlier release version of Resolve 15. A more introduced a bug and I was forced to uninstall it and install the prior release.

I normally record musical performances taking the audio from either the camera or a digital recorder.

Audio from my camera exhibits a consistent 1-2 db variance between channels.

My thought was that normalizing the audio channels would get me "close enough".

The manual says that I should see a "Set Relative" setting when I try to use the Normalize Audio Levels command. I see this when I have two clips selected but I don't see it when only working with one clip that has stereo channels.

Can I use Normalize Audio Levels with just the one clip to act as if there were more than one clip, in other words to normalize each channel independently?

If not, starting with just the one clip from my camera, how can I adjust gain of each stereo channel independently?

Thank you.
