I used Avidemux to trim some video clips (H.264 MOV files) as I was running a frame -> JPEG converter on them and didn't want to extract frames I didn't need or edit and re-render the video thereby degrading the image quality.
Resolve won't let me import the clips but I can import the original clips. I can play the trimmed clips no problem in any media editor. I'm guessing Avidemux is leaving something out of the file that Resolve is looking for and hope maybe there's just a setting I need to change to make it compatible. Otherwise I'm doubling my trimming tasks as I have to do it again when I create the final video made up of several clips instead of being able to skip the trimming step when editing in Resolve.
