Resolve doesn't support DVPRO - NTSC

PostWed Oct 10, 2018 4:49 pm

I've been importing old 8mm family videos using Final Cut Pro. However, these files are large and unwieldy. I ended up using Resolve because you can't export individual clips from a Final Cut Pro project. Additionally, the automatic scene detection with Resolve allows me to split up these videos so much faster, efficiently, and correctly.

I am unable to actually use the clips I've imported. Final Cut does not allow for me to dictate which codec they're imported as.

The problem:
Clips only display the first few seconds. I have one clip that is 45 seconds. It showed about 2 seconds of playback.

A 25gb clip is only 0.5 seconds long in resolve.

You can view the entire clip in Quicktime, iMovie and Final Cut, but not in resolve. What can I do to make sure this video is rendered properly?
