macOS Notifications disabled when Resolve is in foreground

I've been noticing that when Resolve is in the foreground on my system (macOS, running Resolve 15 in dual-screen mode), that I do not receive OS Notification Center bubbles in the corner of my screen. I frequently miss co-worker's Slack messages or client email notifications while I'm working, which is really annoying.

When I switch out of Resolve, all the notifications appear, as expected.

While I do agree from a productivity standpoint, there is a lot to be said for disabling OS notifications while you're working, However, I would still like to be able to be in control what notifications I see.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Do you have Resolve in Full Screen mode in the workspace menu? What if you uncheck that? I'm wondering, if that solves it then it might be an OS thing rather than Resolve.

Ah yes, that is indeed the case. It looks like Full Screen mode is always enabled when you're in Dual Screen layout. I can't seem to find a way to disable the checkbox when in Dual Screen mode, and unchecking it when switching back to single-screen mode doesn't work, because it gets re-enabled when you switch back to Dual Screen mode.

Forgot to followup with the solution to this issue!

Full Screen mode automatically enables Do Not Disturb mode, which I guess makes sense, since you dont usually want to see notifications if you're watching a video in Full Screen. But if you option-click the Notification Center icon in the menubar (you'll notice it gets grayed out when you enter FSM), you can turn it back on, without exiting full screen mode.
