How do you fix distorted audio in resolve 15?

I'm new to resolve. I have clips from an interview where the audio was recorded with the mic level too high and overmodulated. There is fuzz and crackling with it. I need to clean it up as well as possible. Is there a useful tutorial or steps I could follow for the correct way to fix bad audio?

Greetings--did you get an answer or solve the problem of your overmodulated sound recordings? I ask as I'm having the same problem (Resolve 18) and can't find an answer, so I'd be grateful to know. Thanks.

You are going to need a de-clip plugin, something Fairlight does not have. There are a few available most of which you have to pay for.
RX Elements includes a de-clip tool.
