Hi,

Just upgraded to the latest version but the software doesn't open. That is to say it displays processes in the Windows task manager but it doesn't open up with the splash screen and appears as if nothing has happened....

I've tried uninstalling Resolve and deleting the folder in the ProgramData folder before reinstalling. This time I got the Welcome/tour screen but nothing happened after that and I'm still unable to run the software.

Very frustrated at this point. I've contacted tech support as well as posted on the forum with logs. No help.

I can understand your frustration but i am also running Resolve 15.1.2 on Windows 10 and so far it works without this problem.

Perhaps then, the problem is not Win10.

Why not go back to 15.1.1?

15.1 wasn't working either.

I'm clear the problem isn't windows 10... I don't know what the problem is but this is a nightmare.

Please provide a Windows System Information .NFO file.

@Daniel: Be aware that deleting the C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve folder also deletes all your Resolve default Disk database project data.

It would also be helpful to have Resolve logs and an NFO file from you.

In a File Explorer window, go to:

C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve

and run CaptureLogs

Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

i have two w10 machines running 15.1.2, seemingly trouble free, not a huge help i know, except to exclude general a w10 error

@Jeffrey: you appear to be affected by the Intel driver issue several other people have experienced.

I ended up getting this resolved (no pun intended!) by using DDU to uninstall both AMD and Intel graphics drivers and reinstalling the AMD drivers. Resolve 15.1.2 seems to work ok now.
