Subclips dragging is odd

PostThu Oct 18, 2018 9:07 pm

Let's say I have two bins: Footage and Selects. If I'm selecting from the Footage bin and create a subclip and drag it to the Selects bin, it switches the bin list in the bin window to Selects. It sounds like a good thing but if I want to continue selecting I now have to click on the Footage bin and figure out which clip I last selected from to continue selecting. That is a lot of extra steps. I should be able to just drag a subclip to the bin listed on the list and, unless I HOVER over that bin for a couple of seconds, it should get let me drop it in there.

So, instead, I set the bin layup to show me more than one bin at a time (2 or 4) and I drag my new subclip to the Selects bin and... it immediately adds it to the Footage bin it came from (!). So it won't let me drag it to a different bin directly.

Am I doing something wrong or does this seem like a huge oversight in interface design?
