Happy Friday, everyone! I have a question that's been stumping me lately:
I've been experimenting with off-speed recording with my Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k, shooting at 60 and 120 fps with a project frame rate of 24 fps. I am doing my off-speed recording to 2 CFast cards simultaneously (one is a Lexar 256 GB 3500x and the other is a Lexar 256 GB 3600x). When I shoot like this, I don't drop any frames (I have my camera set to stop recording if frames are dropped), and I am able to view the slowed down footage within my camera. However, when I transfer the files off of my card and onto my Mac computer, Davinci 14 only shows the files as a folder of 100s of raw files. When I shoot normally, at 24 fps, Davinici shows video clips instead of a folder of raw files.
The weirder thing is this: I experimented with this while in the office yesterday and shot a short 10 second clip at 120 fps. When I viewed it in Davinci it worked and I was able to see the slow motion footage. Yesterday evening I shot footage out in the field. When I checked it, the 24 fps recordings showed up as normal clips and the 120 fps off-speed recordings showed up as folders full of files.
I'm going slightly crazy hoping that my footage isn't corrupted. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
