Adding new font to Resolve 15.2

I'm having trouble getting new fonts to show up in the newest version of Resolve. I just installed the newest version and installed fonts via Windows 10 font program. I have restarted the program several times as well as my computer. The fonts are still not showing up in the program. When I open other programs such as Photoshop and even Premiere Pro, the fonts are there and usable.
How can I fix this so that I can continue using Resolve 15.2. I had no trouble with this in the Resolve 15 beta or version 15.1.

So I have tried downgrading to Resolve version 15.0.88 and that didn't fix my issue. I am starting to believe that this is a Windows 10 update issue. So if you are considering upgrading Windows 10 to version 1809, don't.
If anyone has any solutions, please let me know. The silence thus far tells me that know one does.

What happens if you bring a Photoshop title using those fonts into Resolve?

I actually just made a text layer as a png file and brought it over from photoshop. That was the work around that I decided upon; this makes doing Fusion titles a bit cluncky though. But, that doesn't fix the issue of Resolve not allowing me to add new fonts, whether purchased or free.
I really enjoyed the fact that everything is seemless in the new Davinci Resolve, but this kinda makes me reconsider a little if this issue can't be resolved. I'm hoping that there is a new update in the next few weeks that will settle this.

What fonts are giving you an issue? Perhaps others can test.

When you install 3rd party fonts in Windows 10 (maybe also in previous version of Windows, I'm not sure), they don't physically go into C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder, but rather into C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts\. Even if you open C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder using Explorer and drag your 3rd party font into it, and you'll see that that folder (kinda) contains that font, the font file is not really there. Just use some 3rd party file manager, like Total Commander, to really look inside C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder.
So, here's a workaround.
I used Total Commander to actually copy my 3rd party fonts (.ttf files) into the C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder. That's it. That fixed the problem for me.
Funny thing, though, is that I was able to use 3rd party fonts just fine in Editing tab of Resolve with simple Text tool under Effects Library - Toolbox - Titles without this workaround. The problem is in the Fusion tab, when using Text3D or Text+.

Thank you This suggestion did the trick. All of my fonts were not actually installed into the Windows/Fonts directory. I used Total Commander and it fixed my issue.
Kindest Regards.

That's interesting... So the problem is in both Resolve (because the issue is only with
Text3D and
Text+, but not with
Text tool) and Windows (Win10 1809 update).

Thanks guys, I just had the same problem with a new Windows 10 install. My custom fonts would show up on normal titles, but were missing from fusion titles.
I tried that Total Commander program mentioned above, but honestly I couldn't find the Windows Font directory at that point... it definitely isn't
C://Windows/fonts anymore on my machine.
I did find an easier solution Windows 10 solution though. Right Click on your Font Files and make sure to select the
Install for All Users option. That worked for me. Suddenly my custom fonts worked in Fusion again.
Happy editing guys!

OK, here's a weird thing that's happening on my computer, I guess it's some kind of conflict with ACDSee file association. I thought maybe I missed the
Install for all users item in right-click menu, but it's actually not always there:

- Screenshot (92).png (37.69 KiB) Viewed 37031 times
%20

- Screenshot (93).png (33.59 KiB) Viewed 37031 times
That's why I had to manually place font files into
C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

@jp_agner Thanks for the Total Commander tip. This fixed a missing font issue I was having in my font selector for Resolve titles.
