Reverting stereoscopic 3d mode?

PostTue Nov 27, 2018 9:03 pm

Hey guys

Accidentally converted one of the video clips to stereo thinking its for audio. reversed it using Cmd + Z but now the whole timeline thinks its stereoscopic 3d and I've looked high and low through the manual, google and what not and cannot find how to go back to normal non-stereo mode.

Now when I export, it shows up as two separate left right panes as it would for stereoscopic.

How do I go back to non-stereoscopic mode? I'm in a middle of a big edit and hurting because of this

Thanks for your help!

Under Project Settings -> General Options -> Color, uncheck "Apple Stereoscopic Convergence to Windows and Effects."

Under Project Settings -> Capture & Playback -> Deck Settings -> Video Capture & Playback, uncheck "Use Left & Right Eye SDI."

If there's another place beyond this, I'm not sure where it is. (I have actually only done 3D on Baselight and not Resolve.)

If that doesn't work, highlight all the clips in the bin, right-click and choose "Stereo 3D mode - Left Eye," and at least then you won't get 3D. And when in doubt, make a copy of the timeline first before making big changes.

The section of the manual start on page 2571 goes into a lot of this in detail.

Just select the left eye only on the render page.

Thank you. Appreciate the detailed response. Both of those settings were disabled when I checked . Honestly, it wast a daft mistake on my part thinking that the 'convert to stereo' is actually for the audio instead of 3d. Made more sense back then because the audio on that clip is mono.

I have just upgraded to studio and before that, didn't have stereoscopic 3d so never had to deal with it.

I'll re-read that part of the manual and see if there's anything left

That's what I've done right now. Don't know if anything else goes awry because of that. I didn't know it would be such a hassle to revert an accidental 'convert to stereo' click. Hoping for an easier check-box solution in the clip attributes maybe?

Found solution? Same problem... tho I was trying to enter different timecode values but missclicked without reading and don't find how to revert timeline back to normal and really need to since I use this timeline often!
