Avid FrameFlex and Resize Effects

PostFri Jan 11, 2019 11:27 am

For anybody doing conforms from Avid MC AAFs -
does FrameFlex come across fine in Resolve when used for punch-ins?
Or is it better to use the Resize effect?
Thanks

Digging up this old thread.

I am testing workflow between Avid 2021.6 and Resolve 17.3.1. Frameflex effects are NOT coming over to Resolve when there is a HD sequence with SD sources being reformated. This is not surprising given that Frameflex is not on the supported effects list for AAF in the Resolve list. But Blackmagic really should try to get this fixed as Frameflex has been Avid's method for handling mixed resolution material in a sequence for some years now.
