Install Options explained

PostSat Jan 19, 2019 3:04 am

hi guys!
unfortunately the installer does not provide any info about the things that are selectable.

PostgreSQL
I guess I dont need this

Davinci Resolve Panels
what's that? the software/drivers for the Hardware Panels that one can buy extra,
or something I can use without buying hardware?

Fairlight Studio Utility
what's that? any use without extra hardware?

Fairlight Audio Accelerator Utility
I assume this is useless without extra hardware

thanks.

I have the same question upon installing Resolve 16 re the Fairlight Studio Utilty, not sure what it is or does?
I assume the Audio accelerator is only needed if you have the accelerator hardware.
Do I leave both these unticked when installing? Thanks Peter

I've been told not to install the Fairlight stuff if you don't have the Fairlight hardware. The Panels utility is drivers for the BMD control surfaces.

Thanks Jack, I half guessed that may be the case but was unsure. Peter
