5.1 audio export

Hello,

I am looking for a new video editing software package. I recently downloaded the latest release of da vinci resolve, only to find that audio export settings are significantly limited. I can only export using the AAC codec (unfortunate but not a deal breaker). I can only output audio in stereo with no 5.1 output options available (this is a deal breaker). The max bitrate is 192 for output (also very unfortunate).

So, what I am trying to figure out is why this is so and is there any way to remedy this?
Is there something I need to reconfigure to allow 5.1 audio exports?
Is there some add-on I have to purchase to allow 5.1 audio exports?
Is there some other software I have to purchase that would allow 5.1 audio exports?

You can export 5.1 with the free and Studio version.

You need to make a 5.1 bus, place the appropriate source clip audio on the correct tracks and then in the Deliver page select that 5.1 bus to render.

The manual is quite extensive.
