I too had the "no CUDA" and "GPU Memory Full" problems. Both solved by updating the video driver. Go to the nVidia website and download from there. Version 419.67 appears to be the latest. I downloaded the Creator version and did a clean install of it.
The main problem in 16.0b1 free is with an edit done in 15.3 free. Where I have used Transform in the Inspector window to rotate and zoom in some clips these now display the Studio dialogue, which they did not before.
PS. Just done a test with a new project and this is being caused by using Super Scale and not the Transforms. It worked fine in 15.3 free.
