FX Controls don't work

I'm on the studio 16 version but I can't access the FX controls using the inspector. Composite and transform controls are open and available but all the others do not open. Is this a bug or am I not doing something correctly?

Did u apply a ResolveFX to a clip and have that clip selected?

Hi Peter, I was talking about the FX that now appear on every clip eg: cropping, dynamic zoom stabilization etc Those FX seem to be locked

Double click on the area to the right of the effect name to expand the palette.

Of course, a double click! What a dummy I am.
