Solved: Applying (some?) effects crashes Resolve 15.3.1

PostFri Apr 19, 2019 7:53 pm

Hi there, i hope i didn't oversee a post on the same topic but yes, i searched in advance.
I experience crashes as soon as i add a transition like "smooth cut" or box shadow to text.
Blur dissolve however works for example.
Resolve also crashes while analyzing clips for stabilizing.

The playback would be very choppy, stucks, and right before the whole thing crashes, the gpu utilization spikes up (not while the playback is choppy).

This happens on Windows 10 with the latest AMD drivers (17.1.1)

I've already tried reinstalling Resolve... .

Soo... i now had a reason to freshly install Windows.
Everything is as uptodate as it gets, except Resolve as 16 doesn't start, however, the same issue is occuring, am i limited to my ThinkPad now?

Update:
I was able to workaround the stabilizer crash at least by turning off its gpu acceleration...

Update2:
* Disabling + Re-Enabling GPU-acceleration for the stabilizer
* The AMD driverupdate that dropped in the meantime

One of those two things appeares to fix this issue, wow.
Plus: Resolve Studio 16 is now operational. weeeee
