Hi,

I did a forum search, but could not find if this has been addressed before, but please... for the love of life itself - add a option setting to enable / disable zooming in on the mouse position instead of the playhead position.

I am trying to switch from Premiere Pro to Resolve, but the single... most... annoying... frustrating... "i want to bash my head in my keyboard" issue with Resolve is that every time i scroll forward or backward in the timeline and try to zoom in... Resolve JUMPS back to the playhead position and zooms there.
Honestly - i have tried to switch to Resolve 6 times in the past 2 years and every single time i have given up because of this ONE... HORRENDOUS feature.

I understand it's required for your DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard to work as intended, but GIVE US THE OPTION to ENABLE or DISABLE that feature so that we can zoom in on our MOUSE POSITION if we need to!

Honestly, i can live with the UI resizing / position limitation, i can live with the lackluster stabilization compared to Adobe, but the one thing that i can no live with is having my workflow destroyed by this unwanted feature.

Is this seriously still not fixed. We're trying to deliver a project to Netflix and we ACTUALLY CANNOT FINISH without this. Editing audio on the sub frame level is impossible without it. Please add this asap.

WHY IS THIS NOT FIXED? This minor adjustment is killing me...I'm also a past user of Premiere Pro, and really don't understand what's the point also of selecting PP button keys when installing Davinci, without actually changing something, especially this setting. This is actually hindering to editing process every freaking time...

Just use shift+z. Works the same as backslash in premiere.

We really need better tools on Edit page.

I just registered so that I can put a vote for this as well-- Feb 13 2020... It really slows down the edit having to move the play head to where you want to zoom. Mouse just makes sesne

Just switched from premiere for editing and the lack of this feature is the thing that's most significantly slowing down my editing.

I really try to switch to Resolve (as a Premiere user), but there's that minor (or major) things that keeps me in Premiere. Zoom on mouse position is one of them. I believe v17 will bring this feature.

Premiere users are on fire here for zoom in / out on mouse position. I'm glad DaVinci uses playhead position zooming. I have nothing against zooming on mouse position, but playhead position zooming must not be removed.

Ideally, DaVinci should also be able to zoom on the selected clip, as well as the Zoom Tool like Final Cut Pro 7. (Zoom Tool shows the cursor like a magnifying glass and clicking increases the timeline, with alt decreases. Dragging zooms the dragged part.)

The Full Extend Zoom, Detail Zoom, and Custom Zoom buttons on the Edit page must be able to assign keyboard shortcuts.

Just registered to request this. I've tried to switch to Resolve Xteen times at this point and this slows things down so violently, I alway go crawling back to Premiere. Let it be a switch you can toggle for playhead or mouse zooming. Please!!!

With Davinci Resolve 17 they finally introduced this feature.

Go to "View" and then "Zoom Around Mouse Pointer"

You can also apply a hotkey

and maybe in about 10 years we can have that on the zoom-in/zoom-out hotkeys too, since changing mouse wheel speed to reasonable amounts isn't happening until 2045
