I suppose the good news is I was going MAD thinking it was user error . . .
The bad news is . . . they have crippled the program . . .
Have you tried selecting all the clips, switching to Trim Edit Mode, then hitting Ctrl-D to change the duration?
Thank you for offering this work around, but dear lord, no that won't do unfortunately
The purpose is to time the collective slide length to match the music track.
(I have over 20 photos in a slideshow, to 'guess' the correct interval . . .
I suppose I'll have to do math with your work around method as guessing is out of the question)
This is a trivial procedure in ANY OTHER NLE . . . accept Davinci Resolve after this neutering of function.
Why Black Magic, Why!?
The youtube video was released 10/12/20 so a late version 16 build.
I can only see 2 potential solutions:
1) petition BMD to fix/ bring back sanity on the timeline (send an email to support?)
2) roll back to Resolve 16 (or possibly v17 Beta)
I'm currently running Resolve on my Macbook, is it as simple as installing a 2nd program on the Mac, or should I just try to search for an old installation file to use on my PC?
