Micro Panel suddenly not responding

Win 10, Resolve 14.
I have been using the micro panel for over a year without a problem. I went into Resolve for the first time in a month or so and now the micro panel is not responding at all. It is still listed in the "Preferences" menu in Resolve and in the Windows Device Manager and it is clearly powered on. However, none of the buttons or wheels have any effect at all, all of a sudden.
Windows has been updating automatically. Perhaps a new driver is needed? Has anyone encountered this problem?

Try rebooting the computer and starting the software with the panel completely disconnected. Then connect. Or reinstall the same software.
