hey guys,
just noticed, stabilization option sometimes disappears in the inspector in the edit page.
reopen the projects fixes the problem.

It’s still doing this in the release version of 16 ...

Is the header for stabilizing there and just controls missing?
Which OS?

Windows 10, 16.0.0.060 - just experienced this. Header is gone.

Ditto -- This has been happening (rarely) since the first 16 Beta for me, but only happened again recently today on 16.1b3 - again where the menu/dialog disappears on the EDIT page.

Stabilisation is still available on the CUT page. I had to restart Resolve to get it back on EDIT. ReOpening / Swapping projects didn't work.

Both are missing all I get is clip audio attributes, nothing foe video, Running 16.1.3 Had it before.

It occasionally disappears, not always missing

Still having the stabilizer issue 11/26/2019. Seems like recent version caused it.

Stabilization in the EDIT page cannot operate when more than one video clip is selected.
When you see this feature disappears in the inspector check that:

A. you do not have more than one clip selected.
B. check that you do not have a current clip Linked to any other than the audio clip. Linking more than one video clip together causes one or the other to be selected.
C. If you have to have more than one video clip linked for your workflow, Option-clicking the clip will allow you to temporarily bypass the link and have only the currently clicked on clip selected.

I've found it occurs if I stabilize a clip in a node on the color page. After that, when I go back to the edit page, the Stabilization section disappears. I'm not sure if this happens every time, I've just noticed that when this does happen, I've often just stabilized the clip on the color tab.

Ok, but that's NOT the case. Just happens randomly. It's DR just being unstable.

next time when you observe this behavior, please consider first Option-clicking the video clip you are trying to Stabilize. Do you see the Stabilize Pallet reappear then?
Please understand that my suggestion based on the deep analysis of more than one case, where a user actually reached out to support and provided project files. Invariably linked clips were involved.

I too have had stablize disappear. Option clicking the clip did nothing.
Only a restart of Resolve fixed it.

I can't see the stabilization tab in the inspector.
I have to restart resolve every time to have it back.

Also, waveforms are not reliable at all... Sometimes it's here, sometimes it's not... It's really annoying (my cache folders are correctly setup)

Same here. Stabilizer just disappeared and reappeared after restart.

I think that you guys really need to work on the quality of your support. Have you really read all the posts here? You guys ask for specs all the time, and when given, the support is nowhere to be found or heard of again. Besides... option-click will not work in my case, now would it (read the specs, PLEASE).
BMD support became as unstable as DR16.x.x! How else would you explain the constant ignoring of all the those customer problems with the latest versions of DR. Problems that are clearly software based.

Could you post a case where you selected exactly one video clip and you couldn't find the stabilization option shown in the inspector?

it happens random, but if you restart davinci you find the stabilization back...

this happened to me in a project - only one video clip was selected, and it was unlinked to any other video clips (just some audio clips)

I have the same problem.
Op clicking doesn't work and the clip is absolutely not linked to any other clips...
And this customer service response is incredibly bad lol
I thought BMD was good at customer services.

Yes .. I have been having the same problem with 16.1 .. On the new Mac Pro 2019 in Catalina.
Stabilization just disappears randomly .. Must restart Resolve to correct!

I emailed the technical team at Black magic and they said that it will probably be fixed in the next release. They thought that it mostly happened on Mac, although it happens also on my PC version

This is still happening for me in release 16.2. Quitting & restarting sorts it, but that's obviously a pain - 3 times today so far.

Same thing here. All of a sudden, my options for stabilizing have disappeared. Take a look. This happens on every clip in the timeline now. ?????

It's SOLVED to me!

I simply closed the app and started again, and the Stabilisation option came back.
