Windows 16b4: Removed clip stays opened by DSR

PostSat Jun 29, 2019 10:32 am

Under Ubuntu or macOS I can add a clip, move it into the timeline, delete it and also delete from the clips....leave DSR program open and the remove the clip completely form the filesystem.

When I try to delete the clip file under Windows Pro 10, it tells me that the clip is still being used by DSR though not imported and used at all...

cheers

That's normal. You need to close Resolve for Windows to know that Resolve has "let go" of the file.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Okay..but why is that on Windows OS only and not on macOS and Linux?

That's the way Windows works.

I'd argue it's a better way. It allows proper operation of Undo, whereas the other method will break that feature.
