I have been back and fourth even loaded DR 15 and still no sound. The meters are working and showing sound in the edit tab video but no sound. Fairlight tab is nearly useless, no video and no sound, meters still working . I have checked the sound control and properties 24/48 setting. I have tried to set it to manual still no sound. everything is set back to defaults now. Anyone have suggestions ? Very hard to edit with no sound.

are you using an external USB audio interface ? and have it set to something other than 48K ?

more info about your setup, but typically this happens because either the sample rate is wrong on the external hardware, or in R audio outputs with multiple outputs, you need to manuall assign CH 1/2 as the master outputs.

built in speakers . not external, tried other settings.

see screen shot showing 5.1 setup, just set L/R to 1/2 on the builtin hardware. if you are on mac, open Audio Midi control app in Applicatiions/utilities and make sure the hardware is set to 48K.

I have tried these settings . Manual 5.1 save restart program and pc still no sound. assigned left and right to 1 & 2. after messing around for a few days with different settings I reset to defaults and tried preference settings again. no luck .

Sound monitors are working moving up and down video plays in edit tab no sound.

Fairlight is not functional at all. i can select play nothing happens in the tab just loaded the latest update today and tried everything again still no sound and fairlight tab does not function.

I'm completely removing davinci and reloading to see again if that changes anything.

I cant get sound to work on any version.

My sound works on all other programs except DR

My issue - I have no sound in resolve.

Edit Tab : have video playback but no sound . Sound meter register and moves showing wave
movement but no sound.
Fairlight: nothing happens when i select play , no video and no sound. The play button turns red but no other functions work.

Not sure if the log file helps?

Is anyone else having this issue ?

From your project manager select the project and right click, export

No need for media.

Cant load the file the forum says drp not allowed.

Zip the .DRP and post Zip Link
0) check you have the latest driver
1) : check that TASCAM is default audio device in the Windows Control Panel
2) : If YES : If Yes: Set the format to 48 Khz.

I dont have tascam I have realtek which is set to defauilt and 48k

Dustin, I also use the Realtek card. Here are all my settings for Windows and Resolve. No problem with audio here.

My setting are consistent with yours.
However I have some differences in the fairlight / Patch input-output.
I'm sure it is unpatched not and I seem to be unable to get the speakers to patch?

When I select the speakers for output the patch tab does not light up for selection . Also my meter/eq stopped working during replay .

Ok I restarted the project and the meters are working now . Still no sound the speakers are patched to the output .

This is the only application I have no sound in so i know the speakers and card are working correctly.

All my setting are consistent still not working

I have no sound during play back. If i render i get sound . Meters/EQ move in editing tab with no sound.

Here is another LOG file from the help tab this time not sure if the last one was done correctly.

Any help is appreciated at this point Davinci Resolve is unusable.

OK I finally have sound.

The fix : MC had a second sound driver open in the hidden icon tab. Mine was Alienware sound others may have a different sound driver like Nahimic

Exit the sound driver

Restart davinci resolve should work as normal.

i feel like this should have been an early suggestion

I am using DVR 16 on Ubuntu 20 and after importing the video on my timeline, the audio doesn't work. The same video plays fine on other media players like VLC but on DVR16, the audio bit doesn't play. I'm attaching a screenshot of my timeline below for reference. Please help.
