Hey guys,
Is there a transition anyone knows of that is similar to the slide transition (which essentially can be a push + slide with motion blur) in FCPX
Example: https://www.loom.com/share/90778def984a ... 6b7a6e654fI know we have the push/slide in DR16 but they don't have the motion blur, and I'd prefer not to use Fusion for this

Thanks you lovely lot!

You don't have to use fusion for this.
Use the Push transition, and add directional blur as well. Put the angle at a horizontal level, and animate the amount as the transition completes, with the maximum amount halfway through the transition.

Hey Greg!
I tried that before (and just now -
https://www.loom.com/share/2875adf9d676 ... 53b20a46bd) and it doesn't work for what I need. It makes the background no longer have alpha.
P.S Boris FX Transitions have this but they're $600+ and it's only this transition I'd use + they're super intenstive on my macbook (usually edit on my pc but like to edit on the go at times)

put the blur on an adjustment layer instead of the clip itself, although you'll need Resolve 16 for this. Otherwise, it will have to be Fusion.

Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention that, as well!
I put the blur on an adjustment layer, because I wanted it to affect both clips of the transition at once, that's why I didn't know that you lose transparency (that's kind of stupid though, in its own right)

Thank you Greg!! It would be great if the Push Transition (or all transitions) had built-in motion blur as an option........jussayin

EXCITEMENT! I have just discovered that motion blur is now built into the Push transition effect in Version 17 of Resolve. Beta 9, anyway. I have been waiting for this for a long time.
