R16b5: Speed Warp slomo doesn't cache correctly

I can't find a way to persistently cache a speed warp optical flow speed change. Here's what I'm doing:

1) On the Edit page, place a clip in the timeline and change the Clip Speed to 60%
2) Set the Retime Process to Optical Flow and the Motion Estimation to Speed warp
3) Set Render Cache to User
4) On the Color page, right-click on the clip and set Render Cache Fusion Output to On

Expected: After playing through once at reduced speed, clip will have cached and play back at speed
Actual behavior: Clip never plays at speed

Now, I can turn on Render Cache Color Output and the clip will cache and then play back at full speed, but any grading changes I make will blow away the cache. Is there some new cache setting I am missing?

Thanks!

yeah, haven't upgraded to 17, but still see this rather frustrating behavior. Even if I force cache-ing on the first node!

I feel that now that Blackmagic has made this incredible product, it might be good for them to analyze users habits to find out certain things within the program that are real time-wasters and functional idiosyncrasies (like this one) in the program.

The observation suggests that Resolve is considering the Speed Change a Color effect, and not a Fusion effect.

Not much we can do about that.
